Are you an explorer?!

Are you intrigued by historic churches and interested in exploring the meaning behind them? Are you curious about faith and Christianity but not sure where to start? If so, I stumbled on a website that you may find helpful: www.explorechristianity.info. I say ‘stumbled’ because it came to my attention whilst on holiday. I was, in fact, searching for something completely different but, somehow, ended up at the ‘Explore Christianity’ website. And I’m glad I did!

Here you can delve into some of the basics and discover what Christianity is about. It presents a Christian view on some of life’s big questions: Is God real? Will anything happen if I pray? Why do so many bad things happen? Where is my life going?

Also, there are really helpful sections on exploring faith, the Bible, prayer and pilgrimage. My personal favourite is the section entitled “Exploring Churches and Cathedrals”. Fascinating, especially the bit about ‘churches as storybooks’.

So if you’d like to explore faith and make new discoveries or, possibly, even some rediscoveries, why not have a look at www.explorechristianity.info? It may help with a few of the questions you’re asking. It’s free of jargon and assumes no (or minimal) prior knowledge.

And, of course, if you’d like to explore some of these questions with other people, why not come and meet us at All Saints church? We’re explorers, too. You’re always VERY welcome to join us on a journey of exploration and discovery!
