How can it be September already?

The good news is that as we enter the new season there is plenty to look forward to in our wonderful village. First off there’s the Village Cream Tea 2.30pm on 7th, please let us know if you are planning on joining us so that we can bake plenty of scones and ensure the drinks are flowing freely.
I will be there following a busy Saturday as it is the annual HOPE 100 walk for suicide prevention. The walk will look a little different this year because it’s taking place in the day time rather than through the night. We’ve made the changes to ensure that it’s as accessible as possible for everyone including families and children.
Volunteering for HOPE 100 is something I’m passionate about and I know that for those who have ever been impacted by the death of someone you know to suicide you will understand why. The walk aims to raise awareness of the brilliant partnership work that happens across the town to help those who are struggling with their mental health. We believe that by building community awareness and the confidence to have conversations, lives will be saved. If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health please make sure they know that you would rather listen to them share their struggles than considering harming themselves. There is no need to feel you have solutions, just to listen without judgement and encourage them to seek help. If you need support check out
