Promoting a Safer Church – New Role for Bishop Julie!

In addition to her role as Bishop of Birkenhead with particular responsibility for safeguarding, Bishop Julie has also been appointed a deputy lead bishop on the National Safeguarding Steering Group with a focus on survivor engagement.  Bishop Julie said: “It is a huge privilege to take on this role and to work for and alongside survivors. I won’t always get it right, but I am committed to making the Church of England safer and to creating a better safeguarding culture”. Your safety – and that of all people who come into contact with Anglican churches – is her priority.
