I’m married to Janet and we have three grown up children. I enjoy playing the guitar, listening to popular music, watching rugby, and running.

Married to David with two adult daughters Kate and Melanie. Works part time as secretary in the family run Steelwork and Metal Fabrication Business based in Great Sankey, Warrington.
In her spare time enjoys walking Willow the family dog, gardening and spending time in Anglesey with the family.

Colin Horrobin – Lay Reader
I am married to Lisa and am currently a lay reader at All Saints, I’ve been involved in the church since I was a child and have previously helped lead youth work, and taken part in short term overseas mission trips with Samaritan’s Purse. I also help encourage our response to the operation Christmas child campaign each year. I have an eclectic taste in music, majoring in all things heavy metal, and enjoy going to gigs. Lisa and I have five cats which we adore.
Pip Horne – Lay Reader and Vice Chair of the PCC
Married to Mike with two adult sons Gregory and Dennis.
Works part time supporting the self-advocacy movement across the north west, ensuring that people with a learning disability and autistic people are heard and values in decision making and policy development.
After twenty years working for Warrington Speak Up she now volunteers on their mental health project ‘Get Warrington Talking’.
Enjoys ceramics and can usually be found ‘practicing’ her throwing skills in her home studio.
Kath Mellor – PCC Secretary, Deanery Synod Delegate, and Head of Outreach Action Group
I am the PCC Secretary, and Outreach Lead, alongside other Church jobs.
I work at the Sanctuary Cafe and enjoy baking. I enjoy family days out and knitting.
I like to help people and have assisted with lots of Afternoon Teas to people in our village.
Chris Monks – Treasurer
I have been a member of All Saints’ Church for most of my life, having grown up in Thelwall, although I now live in Appleton.
I am married to Anna, and we have two daughters. I am a Chemical Engineer working in the nuclear industry, and in my spare time I enjoy cycling, gardening and DIY.
Caroline Johnstone – PCC Member and Safeguarding Officer
Hi, my name is Caroline Johnstone I have been part of All Saints Church for over thirty years and for almost all of those I have been involved in working with our children and young people in some way. Up until last year I was the Head of a small, Church of England Primary School, a job which I absolutely loved but, after 40 years in teaching, I am now really enjoying my retirement and spending time with my friends and family. I have recently completed a Foundations in Ministry course and I am our church’s Safeguarding Lead, having undertaken the training needed to fulfil that role in a different setting to a school.

Married to Pip for just over 20 years now, and recently retired from a career in Engineering Management for the aerospace industry which took me all over the world.
I was Churchwarden at All Saints Thelwall for 6 years and oversaw the Roof Realignment, Interior Reordering, External Fabric Conservation, and most recently the Car Park refurbishment projects.
I enjoy watching rugby union, doing DIY, and researching into the history of the church. I am also exploring my family history through U3A.
Derek Leather – PCC Member (co-opted)
I am Derek Leather married with 2 adult children, 2 granddaughters and a dog called Buddy. Previously a carpet fitter, I now own a flooring shop in Leyland with my wife Judy.
I enjoy spending time with my granddaughters on my day off.
Bob Powell – PCC Member and Deanery Synod delegate
After 36 years working in the nuclear industry, latterly as a Principal Nuclear Inspector (which took me all over the UK), I have been enjoying retirement for the past 9 years.
I am married to Trish (our organist) and have two grown up children.
I am proud of my Welsh heritage and enjoy watching rugby alongside my other loves of gardening, music, theatre and reading (and keeping up with Trish!).
I served on the Parish Hall Action Group for several years, represent All Saints on the Deanery Synod and took the lead on Health and Safety during the Pandemic. I also support Trish in her work on the Social Action Group whenever required!

I have recently retired, and am enjoying travelling and reading, and looking after our grandchildren.
I’m a member of SCAG, and will help with Church activities whenever I can
I love a good building project, enjoy art and drawing, and I’m also a Part time Elf 🤣

Married to Tasha with 5 children and 7 cats! We regularly attend church on Sunday.
I am an ACCA qualified accountant and own/manage our family accounting practice Evergreen Accounts. I enjoy football, spending time with my family and reading, and am also an avid collector of graded vintage Pokemon cards, Funko Pops and other memorabilia.
Nettie Norman – PCC Member
I have been attending All Saints Church for about 5 years, previously attending Bethesda Evangelical church, Stockton Heath. I grew up in Stockton Heath and have lived in Thelwall for over 30 years where I have been involved in the local community.
I enjoy walking, helping in church, volunteering, attending local Thelwall groups, WI, History Group and Ladies Social and going on holidays. I took early retirement a few years ago which has given me more time to get involved in the village and enjoying spending time with Neil and our grown up son Adam.
Suzie Williams – PCC Member
I am a member of the PCC & try to attend the children’s & family services as often as I can.
I am first and foremost a mum of four beautiful children. I also work as a physiotherapist in the NHS at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital & I enjoy playing hockey for Lymm hockey club.
We moved to Thelwall around 10 years ago & love the sense of community within the village with All Saints at the heart of it.
Ingrid Halliday – PCC Member
I am a member of the PCC and the church choir. I am a mother of two wonderful children and married to Jon. I work in a school office, which I thoroughly enjoy.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love spending time outdoors with the kids as often as possible.
The church is like family to us and we love being part of it.
Linda Hutchinson – PCC Member
I am a retired Primary School Teacher and have been an active member of Girlguiding UK for over 30 years.
My roles within the church are a member of the Children and Young Peoples Team, part of the Baptism visiting team and a sidesperson.
