Harvest:Sharing Abundance with Foodbanks

As the leaves begin to turn from green to gold, we are reminded that the harvest season is upon us. It’s a time when the earth’s bounty is
gathered, and we come together as a village to express our gratitude for God’s blessings in nature.
Yet, in this season of plenty, it’s important for us to remember those who may not have enough to eat, especially during a cost of living
crisis. The Warrington Foodbank, often a hidden hero in our town, plays a pivotal role in alleviating hunger and offering hope to those in
need.
At our Harvest Festival on Sunday, 1st October at 10am, we encourage people to bring tins and packet food to the service for the local Foodbank. This act of giving not only provides sustenance but also demonstrates our commitment to sharing God’s goodness.
So in this harvest season, let’s not forget those who hunger. Together, as a church and a community, we can ensure that the spirit of harvest encompasses all, leaving no one behind.
As ever, thank you for your wonderful generosity
