There were five groups which generally met weekly, with a total of 45 members. (current venues and times are in the weekly pew sheet).
The groups usually, but not always, used the same study courses, each taking several weeks. They also occasionally used ‘one off’ studies e.g. the NOOMA series. During Lent the course title was ‘Tales of the Unexpected’. All the groups ‘meetings included a time for praying for their members and for the wider community.
Individual groups had occasional breaks from study material and instead had an informal social get together e.g. Bring and Share, a meal at a local restaurant, a walk etc.
One week per month most of the members of the Wednesday group went to the Coffee, Chit and Chat meetings, in Church which is now well established. This group also had an extended break because of health problems.
The Thursday group occasionally went to the 9.30am Holy Communion Service in Church instead of meeting for Bible Study. It also collected toiletries for the Warrington Women’s Refuge.
During the year the Groups’ hosts met twice at the Vicarage to report on how the groups were getting on, etc, and to plan topics and study resources for the following several months.
All Groups would warmly welcome people joining them at their weekly meetings.
