Action Rwanda! Project

Over the past 2 years we have been blessed to be able to support our brothers and sisters in Rwanda through our Action Rwanda project.

Action Rwanda is one way that All Saints has been able to respond to the needs of others and demonstrate our faith.  Partnering with the Anglican Church of Rwanda we helped to mobilise churches and communities to improve the quality of life of orphans and vulnerable children and their families, as well as those affected by HIV and AIDS. Please check out the following link for more details about how the project helped people financially, socially, emotionally and spiritually http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWbkzKy0el8

Through communication, finance and prayer we worked in God’s strength, doing His work through our actions.

Communication with Rwandan partners was difficult at times, with information coming to us from the project being delayed, but we kept people updated with what was happening through regular meetings, the pew sheet, Parish magazine, website and Bitesize events.

Our commitment to provide financial assistance was well supported by members of All Saints church and local village community. This meant that we were able to provide additional funds to help the work to continue further. Well over £6,000 was raised through events such as Easter Egg Hunt, Pancake Event, Lent Appeal, Bag2School collections, Bitesize church and regular monthly giving.

Our commitment to prayer was fulfilled through intercessions, pew sheet, prayer cards & bookmarks, Day of Prayer and personal prayers. Communication from the project meant that we were able to include specific prayer requests in our prayers.

We would like to thank everybody for their support and commitment through finance, prayer and communication. It is through your generosity and goodwill that we have been able to be part of making an amazing difference to the lives of ordinary Rwandan people like ourselves.

Our participation in this work has now come to an end, but the local churches and communities in the parishes and rural areas around Kigali continue the excellent work to improve lives. We wish them all well and pray that God will bless them with His grace and mercy in everything they do, and that His special protection will be over them.

Prayer Requests

The level of poverty of the rural communities is very high. Please continue to pray for church and community members who care for others despite their own struggles.
Although our specific effort in Rwanda is now complete, please continue to pray the through the local churches this project is able to to reach as many people as possible, and the churches would be salt and light to those in needs.
